Full Return to In-Person: March 2nd

The WUHS Board of Education unanimously decided to follow the administration's recommendation  by returning existing hybrid-participating students to 100% daily capacity beginning on Tuesday, March 2.  Please locate the attached calendars to identify your child's schedule for the remainder of February and opening days of March.

Additionally, reducing transmission in schools is a shared responsibility. A combination of effective mitigation strategies will remain in effect (including consistent and correct use of masks; physical distancing to the best of our ability when possible; hand-washing and respiratory etiquette; cleaning and maintaining healthy facilities; and contact tracing in combination with isolation and quarantine) implemented with strict adherence can limit transmission in the school setting. Please partner with your Waterford Union High School staff and reiterate with your children the importance of following these expectations while in school.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Benefit Concert

On Sunday, February 28, Tri-M Music Honor Society will be presenting the 7th Annual Music in Our Schools Month Benefit Concert. At this concert, each performing ensemble in the WUHS music department will be performing - band, choir, orchestra, jazz band, and vocal jazz. The choirs are especially excited, as this will be their first LIVE performance since last year's benefit concert!
Every year, Tri-M decides on a charity to where funds raised from this concert are donated. This year, they have chosen Lucky Mutts Rescue. LMR operates on a foster and volunteer based, not-for-profit model, and focuses on dogs facing euthanasia due to placement in high kill shelters, overpopulation, abuse & neglect, or owner surrender. All dogs they rescue receive full medical care, including spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations, treatments, or medications they may need. They also have a full support system for the foster homes, including crates, food, and toys. More details on adopting and fostering can be found at luckymuttsrescue.org
Please note - we will not be having an audience in-person. However, we WILL be performing LIVE and broadcasting via livestream. You may access the concert at wuhspac.anywhereseat.com. Admission is free; however, we will be seeking donations, which can be done right through the livestream! The suggested donation is $5 per person, which will be donated to Lucky Mutts.
We hope you will tune in and join us in supporting a great cause!
