Message to Families on March 3rd
Waterford Families,
By and far our day one of 100% capacity was a success, and it was great to have our Wolverine family back! Here are some details we learned and we anticipate.
Properly Worn Masks:
Since we can no longer maintain 6' distancing in all classrooms and other spaces, administration completed visits to nearly every 5th hour classroom informing students of more stringent mask wearing expectations. After five months of educating, redirecting, reminding, and using verbal and non-verbal cues regarding proper mask wearing, staff will guide students to administration so that we can ensure all students properly wear their face coverings per CDC guidance. By properly wearing face coverings, we can minimize close contact quarantines, continue with daily, 100% capacity in-person instruction, and expand our efforts to offer events and activities such as prom and graduation. Your cooperation is essential to success and appreciated by all our staff.
Live-Streamed Instruction:
With the return to in-person instruction, teaching staff will no longer provide education in a hybrid format. Teachers will work individually with students quarantined under the jurisdiction of Central Racine County Health Department as a result of close contact, presumed COVID positive, or COVID-positive testing. Again, live streamed classes will no longer occur as a general practice to accommodate other absences such as family trips or athletic events.
