Engaging Local Government Leaders has created a virtual event to introduce the variety of jobs and opportunities that local government provides to high school students. This event will consist of eight individuals who will give a quick presentation, overviewing a variety of jobs in local government. The panel will also discuss the realities of finding a local government job. Waterford is excited to announce that it will once again be providing SUMMER SCHOOL classes to the WUHS students! There are lots of different classes being offered during the Summer Program. The program will run from June 13th - July 28th (Monday-Thursday). Drivers Ed will run on Monday-Friday. If you are interested in signing up, please fill out this SUMMER SCHOOL GOOGLE FORM no later than May 20th. Please read it over and see if your son/daughter is interested in taking any classes! Come learn about local disability services and connect with resources available to you and your family- financial resources, respire, recreational ideas, job training, education, living arrangements beyond home, and more. Prom will be taking place on Saturday, May 14th. Students were surveyed this year to gauge interest in regards to the location of prom being on the football fields again or returning to Cotton Exchange. The Cotton Exchange was selected by our students. All juniors were invited to join the prom planning committee. We have been working with a group of the students who volunteered, and they have provided input on what they want from their prom experience. This awesome event is Sunday, April 24 at 4:00 p.m. The music is a 1930s and 1940s big band, provided by Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz, and also serves at Vocal Jazz’s spring concert. This concert will NOT be streamed. Tickets are just $10 for dinner and the show - senior citizens and veterans are FREE!
