After growing up on a dairy farm in Larsen, WI, I decided to get my degree in education at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. I graduated from WLC in January, 2014 certified to teach history, psychology, political science, and business.
After graduation, I was hired as a long-term substitute teacher at Whitman Middle School in Wauwatosa, WI. I taught 6th grade English and coached 6th grade boy's basketball.
This is now my 7th year at Waterford as a Social Studies teacher. I am teaching AP Psychology, Psychology, and Modern US History. I am also the head coach of the JV1 Baseball team and try to help out with Boys' Basketball where I can. I am very excited to continue to be part of an excellent school, district, and community.
When I am not in the classroom, I am most often involved in something to do with sports whether that is coaching, playing, or watching sporting events. Another passion of mine is traveling. While in college I took advantage of trips to the Czech Rep, Hungary, and Grenada. They were all great experiences, and I look to bring the knowledge and culture learned on the trips into my classroom.
