English and Speech Communications Teacher/Professor
Phone: 2625343189 ext. 1221
My Education/Experience: After growing up in Mukwonago and graduating from Mukwonago High School in 1994, I earned my B. A. from UW Green Bay in 1998. Along with a major in English and a minor in Education, I also completed a senior honors project. I then began my career at WUHS in January of 1999 and have had the privilege of teaching here ever since. Before having children, I coached softball and advised student council for four years. In August of 2004, I completed my Master's program from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an emphasis in Communications. Certified to teach both English and Speech, I have taught Advanced Communications, American Literature, Composition, Honors Composition, English 9, Honors English 9, Multicultural Literature, and Speech. As an adjunct professor for the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in both English and Communications, I serve as the PIE professor at WHS for both Intro to Public Speaking and Freshman English 101.
Outside of School: I am blessed to have a wonderful family. I keep busy with my son, daughter, and many nieces and nephews. During my spare time, I like to read, take photos, and play outdoors--hiking, fishing, and skiing--with my family.
