Thanks for helping make this past school year a successful one. The following information
applies to all Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors that plan on returning to WUHS for the
2023-2024 school year. If students are not planning on returning for the 2022-2023 school year,
they should hand in their Chromebook and charger to the tech office prior to leaving for the
summer.
Similar to past years, returning students will not be required to return their Chromebook before
summer. They will be allowed to bring devices home to use during the summer months. That
being said, it is important that their Chromebook is currently in good working condition. If your
child has any issues with non-functioning keys, cracked screens, or Chromebooks that fail to
start, students should bring them to Mr. Lilla in room A112 as soon as possible. I would like to
have them fixed and in good working condition prior to the end of the school year.
If any students would not like to keep their Chromebook over the summer months, students
may bring them to Mr. Lilla in room A112 to charge and store over the summer months.
Students who decide to return their Chromebooks will be required to pick them up during
registration next August.
Students keeping their Chromebooks over the summer should remember to keep them charged
and updated. Using their Chromebook every couple of weeks and shutting it down will allow for
automatic updates. Also, it is very important not to let your Chromebook get below 5% of its
battery charge. If you have any issues with your Chromebook’s working condition over the
summer, please contact me at glilla@waterforduhs.k12.wi.us to coordinate a time to drop off
your Chromebook.
