Renaming the Environmental Center

The Waterford Schools Environmental Center will soon be renamed as the Paul Bixler Environmental Center. The catalyst for this honor was brought about by former WUHS colleagues Mr. Jim Martin and Mr. Robert Beischer.  Both Mr. Martin and Mr. Beischer strongly advocated for this dedication in Paul’s name based on his numerous contributions during his tenure at Waterford Union High School.  To this day, the work and perseverance in developing this conservation area continues to benefit our District’s students and staff members, as well as the entire Waterford community.

We would like to personally invite you to attend the dedication ceremony scheduled to take place on Friday, October 8. We will begin with a small reception at 4:00 p.m. at the concessions area on the south end of the WUHS football field.  After guests have arrived and enjoyed a few refreshments, we will make our way to the environmental center for the unveiling of the new sign. I hope that you will be able to join us for this historic occasion.
